Community… This was so important to Aaron and Chantelle for their Camp Elphinstone Wedding, on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. The desire to bring the many people from all facets of their lives together, was the driving planning force behind Aaron and Chantelle’s Camp Elphinstone Wedding. They had nearly 180 guests, which shows just how large their community is, and thus having a ‘camp’ style wedding suited Aaron and Chantelle perfectly. A great number of their guests were able to stay on the property all weekend long, getting to know one another, eating together, and playing together.

Aaron and Chantelle scheduled an array of group activities for their guests to enjoy all weekend long. There was yoga, stand up paddle boarding, spike ball, and more. Those activities, coupled with group meals, made for tremendous success in bringing their communities together in a very ‘camp-like’ fashion.

And then there was the actual wedding of course! Aaron and Chantelle are inspiring to everyone around them. They are two people who work hard every day to be the best versions of themselves. They share their vulnerabilities, and are not afraid to be emotional in front of their peers. And they encourage those around them to do the same, without even having to actually say anything… Their own openness naturally draws it out of everyone around them. Aaron and Chantelle’s genuine way of being and communicating, was brought up many times in the speeches, which shows how much their community appreciates it. And as Aaron and Chantelle are dear friends of mine, I couldn’t agree more.
